What We Did
After modernizing the Lithuanian integral library information system, advanced electronic services have been created on the ibiblioteka.lt portal. Users can create reader or content provider profiles, compile reading lists, recommend books and conveniently pay for services. The system also allows you to compile an archive of Internet resources according to international standards and perform a search in it. Publishers can provide print files of periodicals, manage their information, and readers can search and read electronic publications. In addition, publishers are given the opportunity to create electronic books in the most popular formats on the portal. There is also a service that automatically prepares news summaries and provides them to institutions and portal users.
During the project, LIBIS services were transferred to a centralized cloud computing infrastructure, and the portal itself was expanded and updated. 22 electronic services which run continuously were created for both service recipients and authenticated users.
