Cultural education system - the Cultural Passport
What We Did
This project is one of the first in the public sector in Lithuania to implement blockchain technology in order to securely manage transactions and protect portal data. On the platform, users can choose cultural services, order them, use a virtual wallet and monitor financial accounting. The project was initiated by a group of several institutions (Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Education, Science and Sports, Lithuanian Centre for Non-Formal Education of Students, National Education Agency, National Martynas Mažvydas Library), which decided to create not only an informational but also a practical solution. The portal is designed to facilitate both students' participation in cultural activities and the administrative processes of teachers and service providers.
The system helps students develop cultural awareness, creativity and the habit of purposefully consuming cultural services. Their experiences at cultural events contribute to the overall educational process. For cultural service providers, the project provides an opportunity to improve the quality of services, attract more users and participate more actively in the cultural education of students. For society, this initiative strengthens cultural identity, community, creativity and critical thinking. It also increases the number of people choosing quality cultural services. The total audience of beneficiaries of the platform reaches about 350 thousand users.
